4.Checklocalairports.Withthetapofabutton,ProAltimeterwilllocatethefiveclosestairportswithin100miles(160km)ofyourpresentlocationanywhereintheworld,andpullinMETARdata.Fromthatlistoffive,picktheairportofyourchoiceandProAltimeterwillimportpressuredataforcalibration.

Oncecalibrated,ProAltimeterkeepstrackofthetimesinceitslastcalibration.Becauseweatherandlocalbarometricpressurechangeovertime,theappwillwarnyouwhen6hourshaveelapsedsincethelastcalibrationbyflashingthe"CAL"button.Youshouldcalibrateasfrequentlyaspractical--forexample,onahike,calibratewheneveryoupassatrailmarkerorelevationbenchmark,orhourly.Butataminimum,calibrateatleastevery6hoursorwheneverweatherchangesinyourarea.
