Theodoliteletsyoutakedata-overlayphotosandmovieswith2X-8Xzoom.Overlaygeographicaldata,anglemarkings,date/time,author/companyinfo,andprojectnotesdirectlyonphotosandmoviesforlaterreference.Thesamedataiswrittenintothemetadatarecordofimages,makingimagefilesself-containeddatarecords.Third-partyappscantapintoTheodolite'sadvancedcamerafunctionswithacamerasharingfeature.

Viewcurrentpositiononthebuilt-inmapwithoptionalofflineOutdoorsmapsthatincludetopocontours,roads,trails,landmarks,campgrounds,skilifts,andmore.Livemapmarkerscontinuallyupdatedistance/headingrelativetothecurrentlocationandalsoshowwayfindinginfointhemainviewfinder.Drawpolygonsonthemaptomarkthingslikepropertyboundariesandtrails,andimport/exportpolygondataviaKML.

SharemapmarkersandnavcalculatorpointswithotherusersofTheodoliteviatextmessagesore-mail.Thispowerfulcapabilityopensupawiderangeofcollaborativeusesincludingteamlandsurveying,accidentinvestigations,spottingwildfires,triangulationoflandmarks,andadvancedtacticalobservationandtargeting.Withanoptionalin-apppurchasetoenableteamtracking,youcansharelocationwithupto20peopleonTheodolite'smap.

Theodoliteincludesfeaturesforserioususerslikeareferenceanglemode,navcalculator,mapmarkerimport/export,manualandautomaticdataloggingwithCSVandKMLexport,clipboardintegration,%gradedisplay,milcompassreadout,opticalrangefinders(includingamil-basedreticle,sniper-stylestadiametricgraphs,andavariable4X-24Xscope),andnightfilterstoimproveuseindarkconditions.

Theodolitecanprovidelocationinmilitarygridreferencesystem(MGRS)coordinates,UniversalTransverseMercator(UTM)coordinates,British/IrishNationalGrids,USNationalGrid,Maidenheadlocatorsystem,MapGridofAustralia,andsixlatitude/longitudeformats.OptionalUSStatePlanecoordinatesincludeSPCS27andSPCS83zonescoveringallUSStates.TheoptionalDatumPackaddsover230geodeticdatumstotheapptoimprovepositioncomputationfromGPSdata,coveringregionsandcountriesonallcontinentsaroundtheworld.

ARLayersincludenavigationalaidslikethesun,moon,planets,andPolaris(Northstar),andtheoptionalUSMountainSummitslayerthatshowsover70,000USmountainsummitsintheviewfinder.
